Those Bahá'ís loyal to the sans-Guardian UHJ have built wonderful buildings and gardens upon Mount Carmel. But there is one building missing. Where is the missing Mashriqu'l-Adhkár? That is, the Bahá'í House of Worship (literally: "Dawning-Point of God's Remembrance"). We know that `Abdu'l-Bahá Himself predicted that Mason Remey would be the architect of the structure:
"Regarding the Bahai Temple to be built on Mount Carmel Abdul-Baha wrote to Mr. Charles Mason Remey of Washington D.C., in a tablet dated October 7, 1921: 'Some time ago I wrote thee a letter the content of which was that, praise be to God, thou hast become confirmed in drawing a plan for the pilgrim house in Haifa. It is my hope that this pilgrim house may be built under your supervision. Also in the future a Mashreq'ul Azkar [current transliteration is "Mashriqu'l-Adhkár"] will be established on Mount Carmel. THOU WILT BE ITS ARCHITECT AND FOUNDER. I give thee this glad tidings.'" (Caps added)
Excerpt from Volume 13, No. 8, November 1922, STAR OF THE WEST, ( pp. 219-221). For more quotations from the writings of `Abdu'l-Bahá to Charles Mason Remey, go here: http://www.bahai-guardian.com/eulogy.html
Shoghi Effendi, the first Guardian, affirms this and made it one of the tasks of his ministry to oversee and approve the plans drawn up by Mason Remey. See Shoghi Effendi, Messages to the Bahá'í World - 1950-1957, p. 12: "Preliminary steps taken in preparation of final design for the Mashriqu'l-Adhkár on Mount Carmel by President of the International Bahá'í Council, specifically appointed by 'Abdu'l-Bahá to be its architect"
So where is this missing Mashriqu'l-Adhkár on Mount Carmel?
"The raising of the obelisk, marking the site of the future Mashriqu'l-Adhkár on Mount Carmel, completes a project initiated by the beloved Guardian." From Messages from the (so-called) Universal House of Justice 1968-1973, p. 119.
Excuse me? Did they just say the project initiated by Shoghi Effendi was completed? I don't think so!
The majestic Mashriqu'l-Adhkár that Shoghi Effendi sought to erect near "the Spot hallowed by the footsteps of Bahá'u'lláh' when He revealed the Tablet of Carmel" (Adib Taherzadeh, The Revelation of Baha'u'llah v 4, p. xiv) is to be the Queen of one of the "most vital institutions" in the world, the "great silent teacher" to be erected in Haifa and in every town or village in the entire world, where the people will come to chant verses "in a most wondrous melody and raise such hymns of praise... as to enrapture the Concourse on High." It is nothing less than the spiritual center of every Bahá'í community "round which must flourish dependencies dedicated to the social, humanitarian, educational and scientific advancement of mankind." Connected with a hospital, a drug dispensary, a traveller's hospice, a school for orphans, and a university for advanced studies, it allows first for the remembrance of God, and then an avenue to "afford relief to the suffering, sustenance to the poor, shelter to the wayfarer, solace to the bereaved, and education to the ignorant."
"Blessed is he who, at the hour of dawn, centring his thoughts on God, occupied with His remembrance, and supplicating His forgiveness, directeth his steps to the Mashriqu'l-Adhkár and, entering therein, seateth himself in silence to listen to the verses of God, the Sovereign, the Mighty, the All-Praised. Say: The Mashriqu'l-Adhkár is each and every building which hath been erected in cities and villages for the celebration of My praise. Such is the name by which it hath been designated before the throne of glory, were ye of those who understand." Bahá'u'lláh, The Kitáb-i-Aqdas.
It is unthinkable that the Mashriqu'l-Adhkár has not been built upon Mount Carmel and the bogus UHJ has the gall to pronounce that Shoghi Effendi's project was completed with the erection of an obelisk. His project never was the erection of an obelisk.
It is fitting, perhaps, that the foolish men playing "House" on Mount Carmel have erected a mausoleum on Mount Carmel but have neglected to build the most important building there, the one from which they might derive some divine inspiration if they would humble themselves and seek guidance from the Spirit of Bahá. These are not men of God, however, so they have little need for a building devoted to His praise. These are men who have hijacked the Cause of God and mistake their own pronouncements as the very will of God Himself.
I say to them. What are you afraid of? Where is the missing Mashriqu'l-Adhkár?

This shall be certainly be erected as the Master intended... perhaps shouldn't happen until Charles Mason Remey is given proper credit for the design... even better: the Living Guardianship be investigated and acknowledged.
Baha''is understand that smallness of numbers shall be overcome if we are firm in faith, true in heart, and walk the rocky path of life with open eyes.
Those who sit in Haifa in positions of importance now are so close to Holy Ground may remain unaware of significance and symbolic importance of the Temple on Mt Carmel. This is very understandable, and they occupy positions of great influence and tned to be conservative towards change- even when it is necessary and for the good of the Faith
.
I hope they read Baha'u'llah's Tablets to the Kings and Rulers of the World, and that they also humble themselves God and do the right thing.
Peace and Love :-)
