Are those Bahá'ís who are paying Huqúqu'lláh to the headless UHJ on Mt. Carmel making sacrifices to a 'golden calf'?
It seems to me that those Bahá'í believers who are paying Huqúqu'lláh to the sans-Guardian UHJ are bowing to a 'golden calf' in the same manner that the ancient Israelites sacrificed to a golden calf while in rebellion against Moses.
Let's examine the facts of the present day circumstance to see if it is reasonable and justified to arrive at such a conclusion.
Fact:
Rúhíyyih Khánum confessed in her book, Ministry of the Custodians, that she and the other Hands of the Cause had no scriptural/legitimate authority for their actions related to the formation of the body of Custodians and their headless UHJ:
"...we were faced with problems of inconceivable magnitude. How to assume the reins of authority, with no document to support us, other than the general theological statements about the Hands?"
Fact:
The sans-Guardian UHJ currently on Mt. Carmel is impotent to interpret Bahá'í Holy Writ and Holy Text, and therefore it is by bogus authority that it has diverted the payment of the Right of God, the Huqúqu'lláh, to itself rather than to the one delineated in the sacred Will and Testament of `Abdu'l-Bahá to receive it, namely the Guardian of the Cause of God.
Fact:
Shoghi Effendi never authorized the formation of a headless UHJ either by his spoken word or officially in his writings , nor even in pilgrims' notes.
It seems to me, therefore, that it is altogether justified to say that diverting the sacrifice of the Huqúqu'lláh away from its scripturally and officially intended recipient, and towards an unauthorized, headless, man-made entity, is the equivalent of the golden calf worship practiced by rebellious Israelites in disobedience to Moses.
The correct conclusion, therefore, is that those Bahá'ís obeying the headless UHJ currently on Mt. Carmel, and sacrificing Huqúqu'lláh to it, are no different than the disobedient Israelites who sacrificed to the man-made golden calf.
